The Restaurant

The Restaurant is open for dinner Monday to Saturday from 7.00pm and takes last orders at 9.30pm. For lunch it is open from 12.00 noon and last orders are taken at 1.45pm. The menu specialises in seafood and all the ingredients are local wherever possible. All the vegetables are locally grown and are organically produced. For thirtytwo years Mrs Roberts, now aided by her son Matthew, has presided over the kitchen and in that time she has built up a network of local suppliers who keep the kitchens stocked with the finest local produce all year long.

local filet beef stir fried with ginger, spring onions, and corriander

LOCH FYNE SMOKED SALMON
loch fyne smoked salmon and smoked salmon pate served with a cucumber,
dill, and yoghurt salsa

CREAMY SMOKED HADDOCK POT
creamy smoked haddock and mushrooms with a crispy bread crumb topping

CHEESE FONDUE PANCAKES
thin pancakes filled with a cheese and fresh herb fondue filling

MOULES MARINIER
Fresh local mussels cooked with white wine, garlic and parsley.

TARTLET OF BUTTERED GARLIC MUSHROOMS
garlic mushrooms served in a tartlet case on a salad of assorted leaves

MAIN COURSES

FILET OF BRILL WITH TIGER PRAWNS
Filets of brill gently poached and finished with tiger prawns and a light chervil sauce

THE FAMOUS LYNWOOD SEAFOOD POT
assorted fish served on a bed of rice with a white wine and cream sauce

LARGE LOCAL DOVER SOLE
Fresh local Dover Sole grilled with butter, parsley and lemon juice. Approximately 1 ¼ lbs.

SEARED SCALLOPS
large local scallops seared with bacon and served with a mild tomato salsa

CRISPY ROAST DUCK
local duckling crisply roasted and served with sage and onion and apple sauce

LOIN OF VENISON
local venison pan fried and finished with a rich red wine sauce

PRAWN SALAD
juicy peeled prawns and king prawns

GAMMON SALAD

BAKED AVOCADO (V)
stuffed with fresh vegetables in a light cheese sauce

VEGETABLE PANCAKES (V)
julienne of fresh vegetables in a tomato and herb sauce

all served with fresh vegetables and potatoes
