Dear Friends,
We had a very good 33rd anniversary at the Lynwood, some very nice food and some particularly nice wines as well. We have the first of our 'Saturday Night Suppers' this Saturday on 26th January for which we are now full. For those who are coming the menu is as follows

Fresh Tiger Prawns in a crispy tempura batter with a sweet and sour sauce,
followed by poached breast of Pheasant
with a white wine and grape sauce and a selection
of fresh vegetables and braised rice.
After the pheasant we are having a cheese buffet which will be followed by
an individual apple tart with home made vanilla clotted cream ice cream
with Freshly roasted Elephant Bean Coffee and truffles to finish

As with the other gourmet nights wine is included with each course. Dress is to be smart casual and an all inclusive price of £31 per person. 7.30 for 7.45 pm.
Then on to February,
We are starting on Saturday 9th with the second of our 'Saturday Night Suppers', the same format as above and the planned menu is as follows.

We are starting with Ruth's Coarse Game Pate followed by
roasted Monkfish wrapped in Proscutio
and served with a Red Pepper Salsa.
after the Monk we are having Cheese and biscuits and
to follow a Chocolate and Black Cherry Roulade.
To finish we will be sampling another Coffee
from Kamelia Budd in Newport Road.

The price is £31 per person including different wines with each course and dress is smart casual.
2 weeks later we are having our next Gourmet Evening on Friday 22nd and the menu is planned as;

Fresh Tiger Prawns with Chilli followed by
an individual Leek Tartlet
For the main course we are having Medallions of Venison
with a red wine and Mushroom sauce
to be followed by Angels on Horseback
(hopefully not galloping at the time)
For the sweet we are having a
Brouleed Orange and Grand Marnier Ice Cream
and finishing with another speciality coffee from Kamelia Budd.

The price inclusive of wines is £38 per person and D.J's please for the gentlemen

In between the two February nights there is Valentine's Night. on Thursday 14th for which we are offering a table d'hôte menu at £25 per person for 4 courses and coffee. We will also be offering the same menu for Friday 15th and Saturday 16th

Accommodation on all 'Special Evenings' is available at £50 per room including full English breakfast.
